InstaQueer Roundup: Zane Phillips' Power Play and New Meaning to 'Bottom's Up'

Andrea Marks Joseph READ TIME: 4 MIN.

Welcome to our latest round-up of queer celebs who served, and those who came together to maximize their joint slay!

This week: Zane Phillips stars in a photoshoot inspired by fetish wear and the power dynamics that come with it; model Juan Carlos Plascencia looks so good that it's distracting; Nymphia Wind and the queens at this photoshoot are representing "Asian excellence at its finest," but there's also a very fine man taking the photos of them...

The joint slays include: Porn performers Anthony "Rocky Unleashed" Heron and James Ash using acrobatic moves to make us rethink the phrase "bottoms up;" Husbands Gabriel Drummond and Tyler Hendricks suit up for date night, but not before showing us their matching red underwear; and Dancer Brandt Czerniski skillfully performs Tate McRae's "Sports car" chair dance in sync with a clip from the music video. In a slay that will literally be life-changing for millions of people, Reneé Rapp was announced as the face of L'Oreal and simultaneously announced that she's donating $100k of her campaign fee to Save the Children; and we call for Pop Crave because Aquaria's make-up look and surreal photo-editing has left us stunned.

Zane Phillips is serious –and seriously slayful– in this 'power play fetish' inspired shoot for Dutch magazine Numéro. It's so worth a scroll to see the bold outfits he's been styled in, from tight glossy pieces that skirt the line between leather and latex, to select parts of a suit of armor worn while his legs are spread to reveal matching steel underwear. The magazine titled this photoshoot 'Fetish & Dominance: A Play of Ageless Power," describing it as defying conventions, and "embracing the spectrum of control & desire."

Porn performers Anthony 'Rocky Unleashed' Heron and James Ash used their strength, connection, trust in each other, and tremendous acrobatic skill to maximize their joint slay and show us an entirely new meaning to the words "Bottoms up." This bottom is up in the air, doing tricks among the coconut trees! And his partner is doing amazing maintaining core strength and stability for the both of them. The creators are no stranger to wordplay; A few days earlier, Ash captioned a great photo of his butt, taken while he was enjoying the pool in Bali, with another word he's forever changed in our minds, simply by writing: "NamASSte."

Model and stylist Juan Carlos Plascencia looks so damn good in this photo. The way the cross around his neck directs our eyes downwards, where we could stare at his abs forever... The tattoo across his lower abdomen, the way he's looking right at us, knowingly. It's all leaving us speechless.

When Nymphia Wind captioned this post "Asian excellency at its finest," she was absolutely right. Her makeup is flawless, and her fellow Asian queens are serving icon energy in their group photoshoot. If you look in the comments, you'll see that Shea Coulee was also completely correct to direct our attention to "the man in the brown suit," who is apparently the photographer. But with the way he picks her up and glides her across the room, bending his knees to give her a gentle landing...we are gonna need a whole lot more information than that!

We've loved this video of dancer Brandt Czerniski doing Tate McRae's "Sports car" chair dance, complete with improvising to compensate for moments when she's off-screen. It's so impressive and a joy to watch, especially with McRae's music video playing right above him. It's so much fun when they match up and do the moves in sync!

Lesbian powerhouse Reneé Rapp announced her role as "the new face of L'ORREAL" (and no, that's not a typo, it's part of the campaign; the beauty brand's way of tying Rapp's initials into their story) with an even bigger slay than that incredible news and the powerful face she's serving in this black-and-white photoshoot: Rapp is donating a significant portion of her fee for this campaign to international NGO Save the Children. "I'm honored to be in the company of so many incredible women that have come before me," she wrote in the caption. "I feel even more grateful to be at a place in my career where I am able to help those in crisis by reallocating funds. In honor of this partnership I am donating $100,000 of my fee to Save the Children to support their ongoing work in providing protection and relief to kids in Gaza, the Congo, Sudan and across the world."

Where is PopCrave when you need her?! With this gorgeous makeup and hair, a story is being told! And it's amplified brilliantly by the photo-editing manipulated to make her face and body look even more unreal. Aquaria truly STUNS here. She captioned this post "Cash out or crash out," and it's immediately clear which one she chose.

Husbands Gabriel Drummond and Dr. Tyler Hendricks shared this fun date night 'get ready with us' style video, in matching red underwear, which Tyler's eyes are quick to notice when his husband's towel slipped off to give him a great view before they help each other button up their elegant suits and go out for the night. We love a hot couple!
