The long-awaited "Red, White & Royal Blue" movie from Amazon Prime Video is officially coming this summer. On April 26, the streamer announced that the movie will be released this August. It also released a poster with the movie's tagline – "Love gets royally complicated."
The rom-com, based on the novel of the same name by Casey McQuiston, filmed in London last summer, according to PopSugar. "In the film, Nicholas Galitzine plays Prince Henry, a gay British prince who's often looked over by his family. Prince Henry meets his match in Alex, played by Taylor Zakhar Perez. Alex is the First Son of the United States, and when he causes an incident at Henry's brother's wedding, the two have to fake an international friendship, but things go awry when they start falling for each other." Playing the President is Uma Thurman.
Based on Casey McQuiston's critically acclaimed New York Times best seller, "Red, White & Royal Blue" marks the feature film writing and directing debut of Tony Award-winning playwright Matthew López ("The Inheritance").
